Spurs have reportedly secured the signature of highly-rated Nigerian midfielder Ferdinand Okoh after Premier League rivals West Ham United let him go.

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Nigerian midfielder Ferdinand Okoh after his release from West Ham United, according to All Nigeria Soccer.
A central midfielder who is understood to have made great progress over the last 12 months, Okoh is renowned for his impressive passing range and the ability to halt opposition forays in their tracks.
All Nigeria Soccer reports that he has signed a short-term deal with Mauricio Pochettino’s side. And it is claimed that he could be handed a scholarship deal if he impresses the Spurs coaches. They have also posted a photo of Okoh wearing a Tottenham training top.
Tottenham’s gain could potentially be West Ham’s loss, however, with the claret and blues surprisingly opting to release the teenage Okoh recently.

The Hammers will be left rather red-faced if Okoh ends up starring in central midfield for their bitter London rivals.
Another player with Nigerian heritage, Kion Etete, could also join the North London club in the near future. The 17-year-old scored a brace during a trail game for Spurs against West Ham’s U17s at the weekend, a match Tottenham won 5-3, and could join the Premier League powerhouses from Notts County, according to The Mail.
