Dele Alli could be offered a new contract at Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to offer Dele Alli a bumper contract at the club, according to reports from The Express.

Earlier this week, The Mirror reported that Spanish giants Barcelona have earmarked Alli as a potential candidate to replace Neymar, who has been linked with a move to PSG.

The report claims that Spurs are now looking to keep Alli out of the clutches of Barcelona by offering him another fresh contract.

The England international, who has 19 international caps under his belt, signed a new contract in September 2016 which will keep him at the London club till 2022.

The new deal could net him as much as £80,000-a-week, and it will put him more or less at par with the club’s top earners like Harry Kane and Huge Lloris.

The 21-year-old joined Spurs in 2015 from MK Dons, and has established himself as one of the key players for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Alli is a goal scoring midfielder who has excelled in free role behind the striker in Pochettino’s system. He scored 22 goals in all competitions for Spurs last season.
