Tottenham have been linked again to Andre Gomes.

Spurs have been linked on and off with Gomes over the past year and it is claimed they are ready to revisit the midfielder, with Mousa Dembele’s contract entering it’s final year.

Gomes, 24, made 29 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions this past season but only six starts came in La Liga.
He was recently left out of Portugal’s World Cup squad despite playing a prominent role at Euro 2016.

Right move?
Mauricio Pochettino has the trust of Tottenham fans, and this is one they would have to simply hope he is making the right call.
Gomes has had a terrible last two years at Barcelona where he has been the target of boo boys and is regarded in a similar way to how Moussa Sissoko at Tottenham, where the feeling is that he simply lacks the right quality for the team.
A fresh start is clearly in his interests and at Tottenham he would get one, but Harry Winks is arguably a better option for Spurs right now if he can stay fit. Considering his fitness struggles, Gomes might be a savvy option at the right price.
