Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with Amadou Diawara.

The 20-year-old is rated as one of the most promising players in Italy and has been linked with several top European sides.
But it is Tottenham who are claimed to hold the strongest interest.
The report states: “Spurs have identified the young Napoli midfielder as an ideal investment for the construction of the team that will come and contacts between the parties continue at an incessant pace. The London club has prepared an assault that will enter its decisive phase in a few weeks.”

The rumours come just 24 hours after Diawara’s agent Daniele Piraino told Tuttomercatoweb: “There are some Premier League clubs interested, but it’s premature to talk about this.”
Calcio Napoli 24 reported last month that Spurs were prepared to pay 38 million Euros (£33.5m) for Diawara.
The midfielder could become a long term replacement for Mousa Dembele at Tottenham, although the Belgian’s recent performances show he not ready to be moved on just yet, far from it.
Diawara too may not be ready for such a role.
He has lost his place in Napoli’s team in recent months, last starting a Serie A game in October.
Napoli are claimed to be undecided in their plans for the Guinea born star.
