Everton midfielder Ross Barkley is set to miss three months with injury, but Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has not been put off.
Barkley picked up a leg injury in training, which is expected to rule him out for three months.
Spurs are eager to get a deal done for the England international though, who has been on their wish list all summer.
Tottenham believe Barkley could be the bargain of the summer, as Mauricio Pochettino feels he could improve the 23-year-old considerably.

There is a feeling that Barkley still has not reached his potential, even though he has impressed at Everton in recent years.
Tottenham are said to be holding out on making a bid for Barkley, as they feel Everton’s asking price will reduce closer to transfer deadline day.
Barkley has just a year left on his contract at Goodison Park, meaning he will be available on a free transfer next summer.
If Tottenham do make a move for Barkley they are likely to face competition from Chelsea for his signature.
