According to Transfermarkt.com, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Can Bozdogan from Schalke in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Spanish club Atletico Madrid are also looking into the possibility of securing the services of the 19-year-old midfielder.

The report has claimed that both Spurs and Atletico have registered their interest in the teenager and are considering making moves.

Clubs in the Bundesliga also want the German youngster, according to the report.

Stats

Bozdogan, who is a left-footed player, made three appearances in Bundesliga for Schalke this past season, according to WhoScored.

All of the teenager’s appearances came as a left winger, according to WhoScored.

One for the future

Bozdogan is a talented and promising young player who can be a star in the future, but one should not expect a lot from him right now.

After all, the teenager made his Bundesliga debut only this past season and does not have much experience at all.

One Tottenham player who has a lot of experience is Harry Kane, who scored twice for the North London outfit in their victory over Leicester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

The win in the Premier League means that Spurs remain in the hunt for the Europa League places.

After the match, Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho raved about the England international.

Mourinho told Sky Sports about Kane: “I think everyone thinks he’s a fantastic player and Tottenham is so lucky to have him because he’s the player, the person and the Tottenham boy.

“All this together makes him really a special player for us that probably wouldn’t be so special playing for another team. He’s really special for us, he’s really special for Tottenham.”
