Tottenham Hotspur defenders Kyle Walker and Danny Rose have been linked with moves to Manchester City.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Manchester City have had to accept that Tottenham Hotspur will not listen to any offers for Kyle Walker and Danny Rose.

City had wanted to bring in Rose and Walker this month, but will now have to turn their attentions elsewhere.

Spurs are simply not interested in listening to offers for either of their full-backs.

City are now said to be aiming to snap up Southampton’s Ryan Betrand instead, as Pep Guardiola looks to strengthen his side’s defence.

Tottenham’s defiant stance will please their supporters, as Daniel Levy has previously been accused of selling star players when big clubs have come calling.

The likes of Michael Carrick, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale have all left Spurs in recent times to move elsewhere.

However, Tottenham have become title contenders in their own right now, and Levy is keen not to disrupt their momentum.

As a result, Spurs are determined to keep hold of their best players, and now believe that they don’t have to sell up, despite outside interest.
