Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has just 18 months remaining on his current deal with Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Eriksen has just over a year left on his contract at Tottenham, and Daniel Levy is eager to tie down the attacking midfielder to a new long-term deal.
Eriksen has become one of the best creators in the Premier League, and is a key component in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Barcelona and Real Madrid both want to take Eriksen from Tottenham, but the London club are desperate for him to stay.
Spurs are reportedly prepared to make Eriksen one of their top earners, in a bid to keep him at the club for the future.
The Dane is currently on a £70,000-a-week deal, and Tottenham are prepared to more than double his wage.

Tottenham’s willingness to put Eriksen on a contract with over £100,000-a-week just highlights his importance to Pochettino’s side.
And if Tottenham can get Eriksen to put pen to paper on a new contract it may be the most important move that they make in January.
