Tottenham Hotspur’s players reportedly outraged with Daniel Levy’s salary.

Daniel Levy, Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur looks on during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool at White Hart Lane on August 27, 2016 in London, England.

Tottenham Hotspur’s players have reportedly been ‘outraged’ with Daniel Levy’s pay increase, according to The Times.

The North London club’s latest set of accounts shows Levy’s earnings have risen from £2.84 million to £6 million in just 12 months.

The report cite recent tense contract negotiations with Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele, claiming: “The details of Levy’s pay have caused disquiet in the dressing room.”

Spurs are also seeking to extend contracts for Dele Alli and Jan Vertonghen, and the paper claim Levy’s pay packet will be likely be brought up by their agents.

Tottenham have one of the strictest pay structures of the Premier League’s top clubs, with Harry Kane the team’s highest earner on £100,000 per week.

Last summer left-back Danny Rose expressed his displeasure with the pay structure, expressing his desire to potentially leave and earn more elsewhere.

Tottenham currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League, on course to qualify for the Champions League for a third successive season, placing above rivals Arsenal two years in a row.

Spurs move into their new stadium in 2018/19, a huge moment which they hope will signal the dawn of a successful new era.
