Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will ask club chairman Daniel Levy to consider offers for him, with Manchester United planning to make a bid, according to The Sun.

Kane is aware that Tottenham chairman Levy does not want him to leave, and although the England international will not formally put in a transfer request, he will ask him to consider if bids come in for him, according to the report.

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that United are considering making an offer of £90 million for Kane, but Spurs value him at £175 million.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and has been on the books of Spurs his entire club football career so far.

It would be a massive blow for Tottenham if he asks Levy to let him go.

The fans will be bitterly disappointed, as Kane is ‘one of their own’.

It would also be tough for Levy to find a similar world-class striker. Even with the money from the sale of Kane, the Spurs chairman may not find attracting top-quality players easy with no Champions League football.

However, one would understand if Kane asks for an exit. Spurs are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title anytime soon or win the Champions League, and a player wants to win major trophies.
