Tottenham Hotspur left-back Ryan Sessegnon is in talks over a move to Bundesliga club Hoffenheim on loan before the summer transfer window closes on Monday, according to The Daily Mail.

Celtic and Southampton are among the clubs who want to sign the former Fulham man, it has been claimed.

However, the 20-year-old – who can also operate as a left-winger – is in talks with the German club over a loan move, according to the report.

Blow for Celtic

Sessegnon reportedly being in talks over a move to Hoffenheim will come as a blow for Celtic, who are on the hunt for a new left-back, with Greg Taylor being the only senior player for that position at the moment.

It would be a blow for the Hoops if the former Fulham man moves to Hoffenheim, as he is very talented, has first-team experience, and would make Neil Lennon’s side better.

Leaving Tottenham Hotspur on loan

With Sergio Sergio Reguilon having been signed this summer, Sessegnon is going to struggle for playing time at Spurs this season.

It would make sense for the 20-year-old to find a club where he can play regularly this season and continue to progress.
