Report: Tottenham Hotspur planning new contracts for six players, confident they’ll sign

Tottenham Hotspur appear confident that they can keep their current squad together, and will offer new contracts galore.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are confident that they can get Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son and Hugo Lloris to sign new contracts in the near future.

Tottenham’s ability to keep hold of their star players has come into question of late, following Kyle Walker’s departure last summer and Toby Alderweireld’s seemingly impending exit.

However, Spurs’ board are confident that they can match Mauricio Pochettino’s ambitions for future years.

And Tottenham are planning to prove that they mean business by offering new deals to some key players in the near future.

Alli, Kane, Vertonghen, Eriksen, Son and Lloris are all set to land pay rises, as Tottenham look to keep the core of their squad.

If Tottenham could keep the sextet it would surely be the best bit of news the club have had in a long time, as it would ensure that they remain title contenders of the years ahead.

Both Alderweireld’s and Mousa Dembele’s futures are far less certain, but Tottenham believe that they can still prove their ambition by tying down the bulk of their current squad.

Dembele’s and Alderweireld’s contracts at Tottenham are both set to expire at the end of next season.
