Inter want €55-€60 million (£49.92-£54.45m) as transfer fee for Skriniar, but Spurs are planning to make a bid to sign the Slovakia international on loan with the obligation to make the deal permanent next summer for €40 million (£36.30m).
Could Tottenham Hotspur make a deal happen?
Skriniar is an important player for Inter, and made 30 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Inter last season, and he also played six minutes in the Europa League and played six times in the Champions League, according to WhoScored.
Inter head coach Antonio Conte clearly rates the 25-year-old, although he did say that the club could consider offers for him due to financial reasons, as quoted in The Express.
Tottenham’s reported plan to sign the defender on loan and then buy him next summer is unlikely to be accepted by Inter.
After all, if Inter are going to cash in on the defender, then it makes no sense for them to do a loan deal.
After all, the Italian giants would be better off having the transfer fee now instead of waiting until next summer.
