Tottenham Hotspur are planning to offer mouth watering contract to Harry Kane.
Kane is reportedly on £110-per-week basic salary, and Spurs are looking to increase it, and make him the highest paid English star in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old striker has been in tremendous form this season, having scored 16 goals in the Premier League already. He has further notched up six goals in the Champions League this season.
Kane is already Spurs’s top earner, and has a contract with the club till 2022. The report claims that with Kane attracting interest from a mega-rich club like Real Madrid (Los Blancos could make a move for the player in the summer, according to the Mirror (live blog entry – 03/01/2018 01: 17) it has forced Spurs to break the club’s wage structure, and pay him around £200k-per-week.
Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling is the highest paid English player at the moment on £180k-per-week, and Kane could become the highest paid player, should he agree to the new deal.
Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino has said that Kane is not for sale, but the club’s stance could change if the 24-year-old handed in a transfer request.
