Tottenham Hotspur have paid Notts County £200,000 to sign Kion Etete in the summer transfer window, according to The Nottingham Post.

Premier League club Tottenham have signed Etete from Notts County, and it has been reported that the fee is £200,000.

Promising talent

Etete is a very talented and promising young forward who has already made a handful of appearances for the Magpies.

The teenage made four appearances in League Two and one each in the FA Cup and in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy for Notts County this season, all as substitutes, according to WhoScored.

Progressing at Tottenham Hotspur

Etete is unlikely to break into the Tottenham for a while, and for the time being, the 17-year-old will likely be part of the North London club’s youth team.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has shown that he is not afraid to throw in young players if they are good enough, and perhaps Etete will get a chance soon.

Tottenham finished fourth in the Premier League this season and also reached the final of the Champions League.
