Tottenham star missed their first US tour game.
Tottenham Hotspur are optimistic over midfielder Victor Wanyama’s injury, Football London report.
Wanyama missed the game against Roma earlier this week amid concerns over a knee injury.
It was the same knee which kept Wanyama out of action for four months, The Mail report.
Tottenham’s next game in the International Champions Cup is against Barcelona at the weekend and Wanyama has not been ruled out.
Instead he will be assessed, and Football London report Spurs do not believe there is a serious setback or injury, with the Kenyan just rested as a precaution.
Wanyama’s absence against Roma did not negatively impact the team, with Spurs winning 4-1.
The midfielder was replaced by Luke Amos, and the 21-year-old really stepped up, with fans raving about his display.
