Tottenham Hotspur are open to selling Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela in the January transfer window, according to Eurosport.

It has been reported that wingers Lucas and Lamela are among the players Tottenham are willing to listen to offers to.

Danny Rose, Gedson Fernandes and Paulo Gazzaniga are likely to leave, while Spurs are open to selling Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Davinson Sanchez, according to the report.

Selling Lucas Moura?

One can understand if Tottenham want to sell Lamela. The 28-year-old, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, has had injury problems over the years, and the Argentine is essentially an option as a substitute for head coach Jose Mourinho, not a regular starter.

Regarding Moura, it does come as a surprise that Spurs are reportedly willing to listen to offers for him.

Described as “a team player, a consistent player, a player who sacrifices himself for the needs of the team” by Mourinho on Tottenham’s official website in August 2020, the Brazil international winger is doing relatively well at the moment and has done well over the years, scoring a hat-trick against Ajax to help Spurs to the final of the Champions League in 2019.

According to WhoScored, the 28-year-old has made four starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League, and has made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for Spurs so far this season.
