Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland and Liverpool are among several English clubs said to be ‘closely following’ Moussa Marega.
Tottenham Hotspur are one of several English clubs ‘closely following’ Vitoria Guimaraes striker Moussa Marega, according to Foot Mercato.
Marega, who is on loan from FC Porto until the summer, has scored 10 goals in eight Primeira Liga outings this season, and struck a hat-trick in Sunday’s 3-0 win at Rio Ave.
Tottenham are said to have scouted the 25-year-old since the start of the campaign, along with Liverpool, Sunderland and a string of others.

Marega, it seems, is no flash in the pan striker, having scored 15 goals in 34 games for Maritimo – earning him a move to Porto in January.
And Porto, who beat rivals Sporting to the Malian’s signature, have inserted a €40 million (£36.02 million) in his contract, meaning that any suitors may have to spend big to land him.

Of the trio mentioned above, Sunderland are perhaps the most in need of striking reinforcements, having scored the fewest goals in this season’s Premier League.
That said, Tottenham are the lowest scorers of any of the current top six, with Liverpool, in contrast, tied with Manchester City as the division’s most potent attack.
