Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane’s contract is not set to increase, despite his brilliant performances at the World Cup.

The Daily Telegraph have reported how Tottenham Hotspur owner Daniel Levy has played another blinder by tying down Harry Kane to a new deal before the World Cup.

Tottenham are said to be relieved to have got Kane’s future sorted before the action in Russia started up, because they realise his value would only have increased now.

Kane has started the competition in blistering form, and currently leads the race for the Golden Boot.

Kane has scored five goals in England’s first two games, but Tottenham will not have to pay any more money for the striker, if he does go on to top the scoring charts in Russia.

Kane’s new contract does not include any bonuses for his performances at the World Cup, with Levy once again showing a clever strategy.

Officials at Tottenham are said to be delighted to have secured Kane’s future already, as they know he could have asked for more money with his stature only increasing after his performance on the biggest stage.

The Telegraph suggest that Kane’s sponsors, Nike, are set to pay the Tottenham striker more money after the competition, as they are contractually obliged to increase his deal after every goal he scores for England.

Kane’s new contract at Tottenham is worth £200,000-a-week, making him the highest earner at the club.
