Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are now reportedly the favourites to sign Nicolo Zaniolo from Galatasaray in the summer transfer window.
Nevzat Dindar, Milliyet’s Galatasaray correspondent has said that Tottenham Hotspur are the closest club to signing Nicolo Zaniolo from Galatasaray.
Juventus are also interested in the 23-year-old Italy international attacking midfielder, but it is Tottenham who are leading the race.
Zindar said, as translated by SportWitness: “Zaniolo is evolving into a world star.
“English club are asking €30-35m (£25.62-£29.89m) for Zaniolo. Galatasaray are not taking Juventus’ offers seriously at this point. Tottenham are the closest club to sign Zaniolo.”
Nicolo Zaniolo would make Tottenham Hotspur better
In our opinion, Nicolo Zaniolo would be a very good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham need a playmaker in the mould of Christian Eriksen.

Spurs have never really replaced the Danish playmaker, who is now at Manchester United.
Zaniolo is not at the level of Eriksen yet, but he is only 23 and has huge potential.
And he is also quite versatile.
The Italy international – described as “extraordinary” by AS Roma head coach Jose Mourinho on the club’s YouTube channel in August 2022 – can operate as a centre-forward and out wide as well.
Zaniolo joined Galatasaray from AS Roma in the middle of last season.
The 23-year-old made two starts and eight substitute appearances in the Turkish Super Lig for Galatasaray last season.
Zaniolo scored five goals in those games.
We believe that if Tottenham have the chance to sign Zaniolo, then they should take it.
