The Ivorian looks set to join AS Roma this summer.
Nice midfielder Jean Seri in action
It seems that Tottenham Hotspur, and a host of other clubs, are to miss out on the signature of Jean Michael Seri – who looks increasingly likely to join AS Roma this summer.
The Guardian reported that Spurs, and North London rivals Arsenal, had both held talks over the potential £20 million acquisition of the Nice midfielder – who has been compared to double Premier League winning N’Golo Kante.
Other teams keen on the player are Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona. However, according to a report from Sport.es it is Roma that have managed to tie a deal together for the player with director of football Monchi playing a key role.
Roma have reportedly offered him the package he is most happy with, which will also see him play the most first-team football.

A deal worth around 20 million euros (£17.5 million) looks set to be enough to bring Seri to the Italian capital this summer – with Spurs one of the many teams set to miss out on the player.
The 25-year-old Ivory Coast international has been one of the star performers for Nice in Ligue 1 this season and the former Porto player is now set to make the French side a lot of money this summer.
