Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly been warned that his side may not be able to move into their new ground until next campaign.

Daniel Levy takes his seat in the stand for the game during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland at White Hart Lane on September 18, 2016 in London, England.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has been issued a warning by league officials that Spurs may have to commit to playing at Wembley for the full season.

Tottenham had wanted to move into their new home for this campaign, but they have been unable to do so, due to some unforeseen complications.

Spurs have now taken up an agreement to stay at Wembley until mid December, with uncertainty still surrounding the completion date of their new ground.

And Tottenham may well be forced to stay at Wembley for the full season, if the Mail’s report is correct.

The Premier League could now step in and suggest that Spurs have to stay at Wembley for a year longer than they had wanted to.

Tottenham’s belief that the stadium will be done in time for January is reportedly dwindling, and staying in the national ground until next year could be the only solution.
