Celta de Vigo youngster Pape Cheikh Diop is reportedly wanted by Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Tottenham tracked Diop carefully for months and made an official approach for the 20-year-old midfielder this week.
The former Spain Under-19 international reportedly has a release clause in his contract close to £25 million.

The Daily Mail has also claimed that Spurs’ delay in making an approach for the youngster could prove costly, as French club Lyon are also interested in him
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino adores the youngster, according to the report, which also claims that there are some similarities between him and Dele Alli when he initially joined the North London club from Milton Keynes Dons.

Diop made five starts and 11 substitute appearances in La Liga for Celta during the 2016-17 campaign, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.
The youngster is very talented and hugely promising, and Diop would be a good signing for Tottenham.
The fans, though, will have to be patient with him, as he is one for the long-term and is not yet ready to challenge for a place in the Spurs team.
