West Ham United striker Andy Carroll is reportedly on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.
It has been reported that the former Newcastle United striker, who is out of contract at West Ham at the end of the season, could be available for £2 million.
The report has also claimed that a deal for the 30-year-old England international will depend on whether or not West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini thinks he needs the striker as cover Marko Arnautovic.
Spurs are reportedly looking to offer Carroll an 18-month contract.
Transfer unlikely?
Carroll has had injury issues, but the Englishman is fully fit now, and his experience in the Premier League does make him an option for Tottenham.
However, the 30-year-old’s playing style does not exactly fit in with the way Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino plays.
Moreover, West Ham and Tottenham are bitter London rivals, and the Hammers may not be willing to help out Spurs by selling them a striker during their time of need.
Harry Kane is injured at the moment, while Son Heung-min is away on international duty with South Korea at the Asian Cup.
