Tottenham Hotspur are said to be willing to pay just over £5 million to sign Gent midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze this month.
Spurs are yet to make a signing in the January transfer window, but they have identified Chakvetadze as a potential star of the future.
The youngster has made three senior appearances for Gent this season, and has already provided two assists.
Chakvetadze is regarded as one of the brightest talents in the Georgian national squad, and he has already been capped at senior level.
The former Dinamo Tbilisi man is blessed with a great amount of creativity, and is considered a great creative spark.
If Chakvetadze was to arrive at Spurs, he would surely be seen as one of the future, rather than a first-team starter.
Chakvetadze would have to compete with the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela for a starting spot, if he was to arrive at Wembley.
Tottenham are said to be competing with Bayern Munich for the midfielder’s signature.
