Zakaria is only 22, but his performance for Monchengladbach have made him one of the standout players in the Bundesliga.
Zakaria is now drawing admiring glances from a whole host of clubs, and Tottenham are among the clubs wanting to sign him in January.
If Zakaria was to join Spurs he would add a great deal of power to their midfield, as well as defensive discipline.
With Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama both struggling, a midfield enforcer could be key to Mauricio Pochettino’s rebuild at Spurs.
And Zakaria would certainly fit the mould of what Spurs are looking for.
The powerhouse is unlikely to come cheap though, as he has made himself an important player for Monchengladbach, and Spurs would likely face paying a big fee for him if they were to make an offer.
