Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Aston Villa over the transfer of Jack Grealish, according to The Mirror.

It has been reported that Tottenham expect to get the deal completed in the next seven days, but the attacking midfielder is unlikely to be a Spurs player when the North London outfit embark on their US tour.

The Premier League club will offer Grealish a big five-year deal which will see him get a huge raise on his £20,000-a-week salary at Villa, according to the report.

The Mirror has also claimed that Liverpool declined to make a bid for Grealish, while Leicester City and West Ham United have signed James Maddison and Jack Wilshere respectively since their initial interest in the 22-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder and is ready to make the move to Spurs.

Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?

Grealish is one of the best young attacking players in the Championship, and the 22-year-old would be a very good signing for Tottenham.

The youngster will compete with Dele Alli for a place in Spurs starting lineup, and that is only going to make Tottenham a stronger side.
