Report: Tottenham Hotspur have offered £5.25m per year to Christian Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen is reportedly on the radar of Real Madrid.

According to AS, Tottenham Hotspur have offered Christian Eriksen a new four-year contract worth €6 million (£5.25m) a year.

Eriksen is out of contract at Tottenham at the end of the season, with AS claiming that Spanish and European giants Real Madrid are interested in signing the 27-year-old attacking midfielder.

It has been claimed that Madrid will have no problem in matching the offer on the table to the Denmark international from his current club Tottenham.

Good signing for Real Madrid?

Eriksen is one of the best and most creative midfielders in Europe, and there is no doubt that the 27-year-old will be a brilliant signing for Madrid, especially if they can secure his services on a free transfer next summer.

It is hard to see Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino sanctioning Eriksen’s sale in the middle of the season, given the former Ajax star’s importance to the team.

According to WhoScored, Eriksen has scored one goal and provided one assist in eight Premier League appearances for Tottenham so far this season.
