Chelsea are apparently trying again for the Spaniard after missing out on him in the summer.
Tottenham Hotspur will consider selling Fernando Llorente to Chelsea in the final days of the transfer window, but only for a fee in excess of £15m, according to the Daily Mail.
The report adds that the Lilywhites want to make a profit on the 32-year-old striker, who they bought from Swansea City for £14m only last August – fee reported by The Guardian.
Chelsea have been frantically pursuing a target man this January and their search has led them back to Llorente, who the Daily Mail reports chose Spurs over the Blues in the summer.
However, it has not worked out for the Spaniard at Tottenham. He has only made one Premier League start, although he marked it with a goal against his former club Swansea, and has failed to provide an impact off the bench.
The Daily Mail understands that Chelsea would like to sign Llorente on loan as back up to Alvaro Morata, but Spurs will only consider a permanent deal and are demanding a hefty price.
To allow Llorente to leave, Mauricio Pochettino must have decided that the veteran is not a suitable alternative to Harry Kane, who would be the only recognised forward left at Spurs.
