Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want VfB Stuttgart youngster Benjamin Pavard.

Benjamin Pavard of France slides in to tackle Ivan Perisic of Croatia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final between France and Croatia at Luzhniki Stadium on July 15, 2018 in Moscow, Russia.

Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with VfB Stuttgart over the signing of Benjamin Pavard in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

It has been reported that Pavard’s versatility and his performances for France at the 2018 World Cup in Russia have piqued the interest of Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The 22-year-old is a central defender by trade, but the World Cup winner can operate as a right-back and in midfield.

Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are anticipating that Belgium international defender Toby Alderweireld will leave in the summer transfer window, and Pavard will be a good replacement for him at the North London outfit.

The youngster played well at right-back for France and helped them win the World Cup, and it would be quite a statement from Spurs if they are able to sign him this summer, especially with Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all reported to be interested.
