According to Bild, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing RB Leipzig central defender Ibrahima Konate.

The report has claimed that Manchester United are also interested in securing the services of the 21-year-old central defender.

Konate has a release clause of €30 million (£26.55 million) for the summer of 2021, with Liverpool, United and Tottenham eyeing a move at the end of the season, according to the report.

Rising star in European football

Konate is only 21 years of age, but the young central defender has already earned a strong reputation, and there is no surprise that the France Under-21 international is reportedly on the radar of Liverpool, Tottenham and United.

Former Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick was quoted as saying by Bundesliga.com in January 2019 that the youngster has “huge potential”.

The Frenchman is a promising young defender who would make Liverpool, United or Tottenham better in the long run.

According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old has made four starts and two substitute appearances in the Bundesliga and has made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League so far this season.

During the 2019-20 campaign, Konate played eight times in the league and twice in the Champions League, while back in 2018-19, he made 27 starts in the league and played thrice in the Europa League, according to WhoScored.
