Tottenham Hotspur were reportedly interested in the Lyon midfielder over the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are going to have no option but to pay for Tanguy Ndombele, if they still want him.
Spurs were not the only club in for him though, with Manchester City also interested.
City made an offer of £45 million for Ndombele, but it was swatted aside by Lyon.

And that suggests that Spurs will have no option but to break their transfer record, if they are to sign Ndombele in the future.
Tottenham are still on the hunt for central midfielders, and Ndombele looks like he could be a highly promising addition to their squad.
The 21-year-old has shone in Ligue 1 over the past campaigns, but Tottenham are simply going to have to pay up or look elsewhere now, otherwise they face missing out on another potential target.
