According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur are awaiting Inter Milan’s managerial decision before launching an attempt to sign Milan Skriniar.
The Slovak central defender has been linked with an exit this summer.
Tottenham have had a long-standing interest in the player, with Tuttomercatoweb claiming Spurs scouted him before the January transfer window.

Long prior to Tottenham’s interest, Mourinho was also reportedly keen on the player during his spell as Manchester United manager with Skriniar singing his praises.
“When some coach like Jose says that he is looking for a player like me or somebody else, it’s always nice,” the former Sampdoria stopper told ESPN. “Jose is one of the most famous, best, greatest coaches in the world.”
Skriniar has made 30 Serie A appearances for Inter this season.
Calciomercato, however, claim there is breakdown in his relationship with manager Antonio Conte with the Inter boss favouring Diego Godin in his three-man defence.
Tottenham are once again cited as suitors in the Italian editorial. Spurs, however, are monitoring the situation as Skriniar’s future depends on a potential managerial change.
Inter are reportedly looking at Massiliamo Allegri as a Conte replacement. If Allegri takes over, Skriniar will stay while Conte remaining as Inter boss will see the player sold.
Tottenham will be on the lookout for a new defender or two this summer.
Jan Vertonghen left after his contract expired. Fellow Belgian Toby Alderweireld, meanwhile, is now in his thirties while Davinson Sanchez has endured an inconsistent campaign.
Skriniar, 25, could be a fine option for Spurs if he becomes available this summer.
