Tottenham Hotspur are leading Leeds United and West Ham United in the race for West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, according to ESPN.
It has been reported that Leeds and West Ham are monitoring the situation of the 28-year-old goalkeeper at West Brom, but it is Spurs who are leading the race for the Englishman.
It has been claimed that West Brom could sell Johnstone for as little as £10 million, and that is why West Ham and Leeds are looking at him.
The report has added that Spurs see Johnstone as ‘a reliable, and inexpensive, option’ to replace or challenge first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Sam Johnstone to Tottenham Hotspur?
Johnstone is a very good and capable goalkeeper who has done well for West Brom this season and was described as “outstanding” by Spurs legend Gary Lineker on Twitter last month.

Lloris is in his mid-30s now, and it is clear that Spurs need to think about a successor.
Johnstone is 28, at the top of his game, knows the Premier League well, and could reportedly be available for just £10 million. It is a no-brainer.
