Tottenham continue to be linked with Isco deal.
Isco
Conflicting reports continue to emerge regarding Tottenham’s pursuit of Real Madrid attacker Isco.
Spanish media outlet El Chiringuito exclusively report that Spurs are Isco’s first choice, should he leave the Bernabeu either permanently or on loan.
The news conflicts with Spanish newspaper AS, which reported Isco is leaning towards a return to former club Malaga – but that Tottenham remain in the mix.
It also claims head coach Mauricio Pochettino has been attempting to persuade Isco to choose Spurs – who can offer him the opportunity to play Champions League football.
Real Madrid’s Isco in action
Either way time is running out for Spurs to pull off a high profile deal for the Spain international, with the transfer deadline fast approaching.
A switch would be hailed as a major coup for Tottenham, with Isco linked to nearly all the top Premier League sides across the course of his career so far.
Spurs have created space in their squad for new additions and saved on wages after offloading Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason and Nacer Chadli in recent days.
