Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton are the latest Premier League clubs to be linked with a move for the Norwich City youngster.

Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton are tracking Jacob Murphy, despite the Norwich City winger signing a new contract last month, according to Teamtalk.

Murphy has scored seven goals in 18 outings for Norwich this season, following loans at Blackpool, Scunthorpe United and Coventry City among others.

The 21-year-old’s early-season form is reported to have attracted interest from Everton – who the Canaries knocked out of the EFL Cup with Murphy’s twin brother Josh on the scoresheet – and the Toffees are said to have maintained an interest.

Murphy was set to become a free agent in the summer, but a new four-year deal has strengthened the Championship side’s position ahead of the transfer window.

Tottenham have previous when it comes to identifying and developing Football League talents, with Kyle Walker and Dele Alli impressing following moves from Sheffield United and MK Dons respectively, and White Hart Lane would likely to appeal to Murphy as a potential destination.

Southampton also boast a strong record of player development, though, and signed Murphy’s fellow winger and former teammate Nathan Redmond from Norwich in the summer transfer window, who has since gone one to excel at St. Mary’s.

And Everton, who turned a near £50 million profit on ex-Barnsley defender John Stones, could also be viewed as an attractive option.

Josh Murphy, who has scored twice in 11 first-team appearances this season, is yet to follow his brother’s lead by signing a new deal at Norwich.
