According to a report in the Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are among the clubs that have been offered the chance to sign Jean Michael Seri from Nice.

Seri looks almost certain to leave Nice this summer, after being one of the stand out players in France this term.

The central midfielder has a buy-out clause of £34.8 million, as reported by the Daily Mail, that it seems that there is an attempt to drum up interest in the 26-year-old now.

Seri has been offered to every one of the Premier League’s top six clubs, with Tottenham and Liverpool among the contenders to sign the Ivorian.

Tottenham could be in need of a new midfielder this summer, as the likes of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele have both been linked with moves away.

Napoli's player Ivan Strinic vies with OGC Nice player Jean Seri during the pre-season friendly match between SSC Napoli and OGC Nice at Stadio San Paolo on August 1, 2016 in Naples, Italy.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are set to lose Emre Can and Seri could be a natural replacement at Anfield.

If Tottenham or Liverpool do make a move for the midfielder they are likely to have to fend off a great deal of competition, as his performances have caught the attention of a number of teams across Europe.

Spurs and Liverpool are both likely to be among the teams challenging for the Premier League title again next term, and the arrival of Seri would help add depth to either of the pair’s squads.
