Manchester United defender Phil Jones is reportedly on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have kept tabs on Manchester United defender Phil Jones, according to The Sun.

United, though, will take up their 12-month option on Jones by the end of the month, claims the British tabloid.

The England international defender is out of contract at the Red Devils next summer.

United will not let the 26-year-old leave for free next summer and will keep him at Old Trafford for one more season at least, according to The Sun.

Good decision?

Jones knows the Premier League inside out, and there is no surprise that Tottenham and Arsenal have reportedly kept tabs on the England international.

The 26-year-old has been on the books of United since the summer of 2011 when he joined from Blackburn Rovers for a transfer fee reported by The Sun to be worth £15 million and when Sir Alex Ferguson was the manager of the Red Devils.

The defender has struggled with injuries in recent times, but a full-fit Jones is an asset for manager Jose Mourinho, and it would make sense for United to keep hold of the defender.
