The Tottenham Hotspur star has been one of the best in his position this season.

Tottenham have received positive news regarding Danny Rose’s injury, according to the Independent.

The England left-back went off injured in the first half in the 0-0 draw against Sunderland last week, appearing in significant discomfort as he left the field.

It was later revealed that the 25-year-old had suffered a knee injury that required scans and subsequent specialist consultation, with some fearing that the fullback could be out for a significant length of time.

This would have been a huge blow to Mauricio Pochettino’s aspirations this season, as the Argentine seeks to go at the very least one better than his third placed league finish last year, while the club are still in both the FA Cup and the Europa League.

However, the Independent are reporting that Spurs are hopeful that Rose will be back in action by the end of the month, with the results from his visit to the specialist suggesting he can resume training within a couple of weeks.

The report goes on to say that, though Ben Davies will again fill in for Tottenham during this weekend’s crucial match against Liverpool, Spurs have pinpointed the White Hart Lane fixture against the Reds’ Merseyside rivals Everton on March 5 as a realistic fixture for Rose to make his comeback.

That means Rose will miss the trip to Anfield, an FA Cup tie against Fulham and both legs of their Europa League knockout bout against Gent. And crucially for the club’s Premier League challenge, the England man could only end up missing one more league game before he returns.
