According to Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham have met with Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte about replacing José Mourinho in north London.
The Italian news outlet claim that Spurs have spoken to the 51-year-old, and talks went well.
This is despite the fact that Conte has just helped Inter Milan win their first Serie A title in 11 years.
Corriere dello Sport even claim that Spurs discussed Tottenham’s current squad, and how it could be improved with new signings.
In our view, Conte wouldn’t be talking about things like that if he wasn’t tempted to return to the Premier League.
The talks are described as ‘fruitful and interesting’ in the report.
However, Corriere dello Sport add that Tottenham will still continue to explore other options, such as Maurizio Sarri and Gian Piero Gasperini.

In our view, Conte is the best candidate to be linked with the vacancy in north London so far.
The Italian has Premier League experience, and has enjoyed great success on these shores.
He oversaw 76 Premier League games as Chelsea boss, winning 51, while the Blues also scored 147 goals in those outings.
Conte also guided Chelsea to the Premier League title in 2017, and won the FA Cup in 2018.

He seems to win silverware wherever he goes, which should appeal to Daniel Levy greatly.
Conte would be a brilliant appointment, but in our view, he would be crazy to leave Inter Milan right now.
He’s just achieved hero status after ending the dominance of Juventus, and it looks like a successful project could just be starting at the San Siro.
Levy has a big job on his hands to tempt him away from that.
