The Sheffield United forward is said to have caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur, among others.

The Sheffield Star reports that Tottenham Hotspur have yet to follow up on their interest in David Brooks, the Sheffield United forward.
According to the Sun, Tottenham were negotiating with the Blades over a £10-million-plus deal for Brooks in February.
However, the Star contradicts that claim, stating that Spurs “made noises about submitting a bid at the beginning of the campaign, but none materialised”.

Chris Wilder, the Sheffield United manager, confirmed in December that an unnamed Premier League club had enquired about Brooks, and intimated they would be willing to pay eight figures for the Welshman, should he become available.
However, according to the Star, this was in fact Bournemouth and not Tottenham.
Brooks scored or assisted seven goals in 30 games for Sheffield United in their first season back in the Championship, and won his first Wales cap late last year.
Former Blades youngsters Kyle Walker and Kyle Naughton were snared from Bramall Lane by Spurs in 2009.
