According to Eurosport, Tottenham Hotspur hold a ‘very strong’ interest in signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie this summer.
With Fabio Paratici on board as Tottenham’s new director of football, Serie A players are being linked with moves to North London on what seems to be a daily basis.
The latest is Kessie, with Paratici seemingly looking bolster the midfield options for Nuno ahead of the new Premier League season.
Wolves and Nuno tried to sign Kessie in the summer of 2019, so Tottenham moving for the Ivorian certainly makes some sense.
It’s stated that Tottenham’s interest in Kessie is ‘very strong’, and they could make a bid if they receive encouragement that Kessie is interested in the move.
Milan have so far failed to reach an agreement over a new contract with Kessie, and he is currently scheduled to become a free agent next summer – meaning Tottenham could land a bargain.

Kessie, 24, starred for Milan last season, racking up 14 goals from midfield whilst also recording six assists.
The Ivorian has been compared to compatriot Yaya Toure by Antonio Cassano, who branded him ‘devastasting‘.
One problem for Tottenham is that Arsenal also want to sign Kessie according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, and were described as being in the lead for his signature.
Tottenham may now test the water with a bid for Kessie, and will hope to beat Arsenal to his signature.
