Tottenham Hotspur’s first offer for Milan Skriniar is worth £32 million, according to a report in Sports Media Set.
Tottenham are said to be stepping up their chase of Skriniar, and the Italian media now claim that they have already made an initial bid.
Tottenham’s offer is likely to be rejected, as it falls around £20 million short of Inter’s asking price.
However, Daniel Levy and Inter’s board will continue to talk over a fee in the coming days, as Spurs look to get a deal done.
Skriniar is believed to be one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets, as he looks to strengthen his options in central defence.
And the chance to work with Mourinho could well appeal to the Slovakian, if his past comments are anything to go by.

“When some coach like Jose says that he is looking for a player like me or somebody else, it’s always nice. Jose is one of the most famous, best, greatest coaches in the world,” Skriniar told ESPN in 2018.
If Skriniar was to arrive at Tottenham he would be in competition with the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez for a first-team place.
