Edmond Tapsoba would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur

In our opinion, Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

Tapsoba has done well for Bayer in recent years and has progressed a lot in Germany.

The 24-year-old, who can also fill in at defensive midfield if needed, made 32 starts and one substitute appearance in the Bundesliga last season.

The defender scored one goal in those matches.

Tapsoba scored one goal and provided one assist in eight UEFA Europa League matches for Bayer last season.

The Bayer no. 12 also made four starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League in 2022-23.

Bayer 04 sporting director Simon Rolfes said about the defender on the club’s official website in January 2020 after signing him: “Edmond Tapsoba was a regular first choice at Guimaraes at the age of 20 and in addition to his defensive ability, he’s also dangerous in front of goal.”

In 2019-20, Tapsoba scored four goals and provided two assists in 16 Portuguese league matches for Guimaraes.
