The Tottenham Hotspur loanee is struggling back at Leeds United.
Football London has reported that Tottenham Hotspur have the option to recall Leeds United’s Jack Clarke in January if they wanted.
Spurs signed the Leeds product earlier this summer and then loaned him back to Elland Road for the 2019-20 campaign.
But it’s been a difficult return to West Yorkshire for the 18-year-old winger, who hasn’t played a single minute of Championship football as of yet.
Clarke, who played 70 minutes in a 3-0 League Cup win at Salford City earlier this month, has been left out of Marcelo Bielsa’s last two squads for a Championship game.
And Football London claims that Tottenham have a January recall clause for Clarke – the same with every player that they loan out.
January will look very far away for the teenager and if Bielsa doesn’t include him in the trip to Stoke City today, that’ll be even more worrying from a Tottenham perspective.
The point of loaning him back to United was for development, but he isn’t growing as a player if he isn’t playing.
It isn’t Bielsa’s fault, though. The Argentine simply has better wide options than Clarke, who started only four games last season.
