Report: Tottenham have eyes on ‘amazing talent’ and French attacker, as Mourinho forms plan

Tottenham Hotspur are looking at Stuttgart attacker Nicolas Gonzalez, with doubts around Gareth Bale’s future at the club emerging, Sky Sports report.

Bale has said this week that he is set to return to Madrid in the summer, when his loan at Tottenham expires.

That has immediately sparked reports that Spurs already have their eyes on attackers to replace the Welshman next year.

Gonzalez is now said to be a name on their wishlist, with the 22-year-old impressing in the Bundesliga.

The wide-man, who Fabrizio Romano has labelled a ‘fantastic talent’ [Last Word on Spurs], has netted six goals in 15 games this term.

If he was bought to Tottenham he would be a very different type of winger to Bale.

Gonzalez is at the start of his career and Mourinho would have to develop his potential, rather than be buying the finished article.

Tottenham actually been linked with Gonzalez previously, and Mourinho denied the links, but Sky insist that he is on their radar.

Tottenham are also now being tipped with interest in Lille’s Jonathan Bamba, who has been capped at French youth-level.
