According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford.
Sadly, the rumours surrounding Harry Kane’s future are back again, with the striker allegedly telling Daniel Levy that he wants to leave.
Is anyone really in a position to pay up a nine-figure fee for Kane? It seems unlikely after the global pandemic, but Kane is a truly world-class talent.
It would be wise for Spurs to look at strikers just in case they need to replace Kane this summer, and it’s suggested that Bamford is on the list.
The report claims that Bamford is among the strikers Tottenham have considered signing, but Leeds have protection with Bamford contracted beyond 2022.
Bamford has been something of a surprise this season, smashing 15 goals in 36 games, including one against Tottenham earlier this month.

The 27-year-old had his ups and downs in the Championship, but having added seven assists this season too, he has taken to the Premier League brilliantly.
Spurs now appear to be keen on Bamford, but don’t expect Leeds to sell easily this summer – especially if they know Tottenham have money from a Kane exit.
