Tottenham Hotspur have shown interested in Rennes manager Bruno Genesio, but so have Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton, according to RMC Sport.

RMC Sport have reported that Tottenham, Wolves, Everton, Valencia, Real Sociedad and Al-Hilal are all interested in appointing Genesio.

The 55-year-old is in charge of Rennes at the moment and is under contract at the Ligue 1 club until 2023.

Rennes are already considering a new contract for the Frenchman, who does not want to rush into going abroad after working at Beijing Guoan in the Chinese Super League.

Bruno Genesio to replace Antonio Conte at Tottenham?

Conte is out of contract at Tottenham in the summer of 2023, and Genesio’s deal at Rennes also runs out at the end of next season.

Coincidence that Tottenham are looking at Genesio?

Could the Frenchman be Conte’s replacement?

It surely looks that way.

Now, of course, anything is possible in football.

Tottenham and Conte could well decided to extend the current deal, if the team are successful on the pitch.

However, in our view, it is very prudent of Tottenham to consider potential replacements in case Conte decides to leave before his current deal runs oot.
