Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly inching closer to signing the Argentine.

According to a report from Brazilian media outlet Lance, Tottenham have agreed a fee with Real Betis for Giovani Lo Celso.
Spurs have been tracking the Argentina international all summer long, and it seems as though they have finally made a breakthrough.
Lance claims that Tottenham have agreed to pay Betis €52 million (£47.8 million) plus €8 million (£7.2 million) in add-ons for the 23-year-old midfield ace.
Verdict
If the above report is true, Spurs will have one seriously good player on their hands.
Lo Celso racked up an impressive 16 goals and six assists in 45 appearances for Betis last season, and he will provide Mauricio Pochettino with a supremely creative option in the middle of the park.
The South American’s technique and superb vision will surely prove to be a great asset for Tottenham, especially if Christian Eriksen ends up leaving.

And for the reported fee of £55 million including add-ons, Spurs might just have secured themselves a real bargain.
Lo Celso seems ready to blow up into a true superstar, and working under the guidance of Pochettino at Tottenham will provide him with the perfect platform to go on and achieve greatness.
