Tottenham Hotspur could play the first game as the Premier League restarts, according to the Daily Mail.

Tottenham’s game against Manchester United is being lined up as the curtain-raiser, as England’s top flight gets ready to restart.

Spurs are set to take on United on a Friday night on either the 12th or the 19th of June, with the Premier League looking to return with a huge game immediately.

Getting football back has been fraught with difficulty, but it seems that a plan has now been put in place to restart the league in the middle of June.

If Tottenham do return with a clash against United, they will immediately be thrown in at the deep end.

United were in good form before the break and are one of Tottenham’s biggest rivals for a top four place.

Spurs are currently some way behind the Champions League qualification spots, but a win over United upon the return of football would certainly put them back in the race.
